John is an accomplished communications executive with multi-industry, international public relations, marketing, public affairs and media experience. He has helped Fortune 500 companies, entrepreneurial start-ups and other organizations increase awareness and credibility to drive leads, revenue and value creation in support of business growth, acquisition and exit strategies. His expertise includes strategic counsel, integrated marketing, branding, media and industry analyst relations, and crisis management.
John has headed marketing and communications for the global Salesforce Practice of Tata Consultancy Services, a $17.5B business and IT consultancy; and Siemens to manage communications for the divestiture of its $1.1B Water Technologies business unit and to create a new brand, Evoqua, for the standalone entity. He also has led marketing for TerraGo Technologies, an In-Q-Tel-backed geospatial collaboration software provider. At Intergraph, John led global communications for the $2B security, government and infrastructure geospatial and process, power and marine enterprise engineering software company. John also led the corporate and tech practice for Fleishman-Hillard International Communications’ Atlanta office where he served a wide range of transportation, higher education, technology and other clients. He also has served as director of public affairs for the Georgia Ports Authority and director of public relations for The Breakers resort in Palm Beach, FL as well as a large acute healthcare provider.
A graduate of the University of Florida, John holds a bachelor’s degree in news editorial journalism and also has worked for newspapers and contributed to magazines.
