From global manufacturers and technology-driven service providers to emerging new ventures and cause-based initiatives, the successful enterprises and C-suite executives Michael works with have come to rely on the strategic counsel and hands-on expertise he provides. As an early member of start-up teams in Silicon Valley, Michael helped lead the creation, market launch and public company financing of successful new technologies, processes and innovative methodologies that drove the growth of valuable business and social initiatives.
Recently, Michael architected and launched Project HEAR Us Foundation, a national non-profit coalition of leading anti-bullying experts from the University of Nebraska—Lincoln, Harvard Graduate School of Education, Steinberg Sports and Entertainment and others whose mission is to provide proven, research-based tools for combating bullying in schools and communities nationwide.
Other recent projects include providing strategic communications counsel to a waste-to-clean energy start-up; corporate reputation management, crisis communications and executive speech-writing for a $10 billion supplier to the automotive industry; and market positioning for a leading medical technology software provider. Previous work includes drafting multiple private placement offering documents for emerging start-ups, including a developer of medical devices for the blood transfusion market, a web-based video display accelerator design company, and an intellectual property management firm.
Michael is an undergraduate and graduate school alumna of the University of California, Berkeley, where he was a nationally competitive NCAA all-around gymnast. He currently sits on the Advisory Board of Project HEAR Us Foundation.
