Rick Fox is a trusted advisor with 20 years of experience in broadcast journalism and strategic communications. He provides comprehensive solutions to clients across a wide range of industries, including real estate, healthcare, manufacturing, technology, telecommunications, education, finance, food and beverage, and other industries.
As a Senior Vice President in the Chicago office of FleishmanHillard (FH), a leading global communications agency, he played instrumental roles for small, mid-cap and large corporate clients as well as not-for-profit organizations and government agencies. Over the course of his ten years with FH, clients included AT&T, Berry Plastics, Get Covered Illinois – the state arm implementing the Affordable Care Act, Illinois Housing Development Authority (IHDA), Willis Tower – formerly Sears Tower, and more.
Mr. Fox has expertise in leading teams in the development and execution of fully integrated awareness and education campaigns that build support and deliver results for organizations. His areas of expertise include media relations and media training, content creation, reputation and brand management, B2B communications, and consumer product launches/promotions.
He earlier worked as a radio reporter and television producer and was honored with electronic journalism’s highest award for excellence, the Edward R. Murrow Award.
Mr. Fox served as an elected official on the village board in his home town. He has taught courses in crisis communications and strategic media relations at Columbia College in Chicago and is a veteran of the U.S. Marines. He holds a Master of Arts degree in public affairs reporting from the University of Illinois at Springfield and a Bachelor of Science degree in broadcast journalism from the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign.
